TOURNAMENT ANNOUNCEMENT

- Schedule of Games: The games shall start one hour after the end of the 3rd round of the 3rd KATERINI OPEN
- Playing System: Swiss 7 rounds
- Team Composition: Teams shall consist of four (4) members, with no restrictions regarding age or gender. To enhance the competitive balance of the tournament, it is recommended that the total ELO rating for each team does not exceed 8,500. Teams may select their own names and are encouraged to choose names that reflect creativity and originality!
- Rate of Play: 3 minutes per player and 2 seconds per move
- Registrations: Participation is limited to 24 teams. Registration can only be completed via private message through Viber or WhatsApp, addressed to Mr. Spirliadis Achileas at +306976095019. The deadline for registration is Saturday, 21 March, at 20:00. Please note that the sequence in which team players are listed during registration will determine their official playing order.
- Point system: 2 points per win, 1 for ties, 0 for losses
- Tie breaks:1) Direct encounter 2) Points 3) Point of the 1st board, of the 2nd board etc
- Arbiters: The arbiters of the 3rd KATERINI OPEN -Pairings: Spirliadis Achilleas
- Prizes:1st – 2nd – 3rd winning teams (Medals for the players). Medals for the best individual performances on each board.
